Colnago
A Fleeting glimpse of Saroni’s wine red Colnago Powering up the hill at the Goodwood worlds was enough to convince many an impressionable bike fan that European, and particularly Italian bikes had something a bit special going for them. While times have changed since the skinny all steel bikes of the eighties, Colnago is still the name of Italian cycling.
In over 50 years of bike production, Ernesto has always managed to come up with the goods. His bikes always combine the best materials and design without loosing the feel and look of a traditional product.
As one of the UK’s biggest suppliers of these superb frames, we are happy to help with all your Colnago requirements.

C50
Through a process of evolution the C50 is close to the perfect bike frame. Structurally built entirely of carbon fibre, the only non carbon elements are the rear drop outs and headset inserts in alloy and the titanium bottom bracket sleeve. Rather than built as a monocoque, The C50 is assembled in a traditional manner using lugs and tube sections. We have never seen a failed Colnago joint. If you feel the need to crash with gusto, this is the only carbon assembly process that makes repairs possible.

Extreme C
C50 not light enough? Live on top of an Alpe? The Extreme C could be the frame for you. The least weight of any current Colnago, its design brief is to be as light as Carbon will allow without compromising strength and stiffness. This puts a 56cm frame at below a kilo making it a perfect bike for light riders looking for the edge on long climbs. As used by the majority of Team Rabobank for the last two seasons and used by Michael Rasmussen to good effect to win the king of the mountains in the 2005 T,D,F.

Cristallo
New for 2006, the first of three monocoque frame designs from Colnago.
Similar in appearance to last years E1, further manufacturing refinements have allowed the weight to be reduced and the addition of a new stay design gives a distinctive and graceful appearance The cost advantage of a monocoque build makes this a more affordable route to Colnago’s carbon bikes.

Arte
The first Colnago ever, to be produced away from Italy. As the costs of European production spiral, many brands have been forced to look to more economical routes for their bike production. Instead of asking what’s the cheapest you can produce, however, Colnago have asked for the best.
As a consequence we can now offer two complete bikes built to an impeccable standard, at very competitive prices. The Arte is built in 6000 series triple butted alloy with Carbon stays and forks. The complete bike is built using an Ultegra 10 groupset. |
